“Drifting of the wind” tries to tell, in the sweetest possible way, a lead situation, the situation of isolation during the pandemic of Covid-19, overcoming the borders and crossing the spaces. A performance but also a real work, concrete, physical, that does not decide to use only the web to leave the house, but that exits materially.
The work itself is very simple. There are white balloons, fifty, on which a string with a rolled message is hanging. And the message is also very simple; two words: “I miss you”.
Perhaps lately the most present words on the lips of each of us.
In a moment those balloons take flight, lost after a while in the immensity of the sky, and with them those precious messages. Words that we entrust to the wind and that we hope will reach those who are distant or those who are no longer there. To those people who find a special place in our hearts and of whom only a sweet memory remains.
Transported by nostalgia, those white balloons like clouds remind us once again how important it is to dream and never lose hope. Even when reality seems overwhelming. Even when the sky becomes dark and heavy.
Perhaps those messages will never reach the people to whom they are dedicated, but they will get lost in the waves of the wind. Perhaps their drift will never end. Who knows. In doubt though, better leave a window open.
